Choosing the right bridal shop is key to having a great dress shopping experience! While recommendations from friends and family are a great starting point, every bride has unique needs. Keep reading for our top tips on finding the perfect bridal shop for you!

The dresses

Whilst it is great to keep an open mind whilst dress shopping, it does help to be attracted to the overall vibe of the dresses being offered by a bridal shop. Do they display their dresses on their site/social media and can you see the kinds of styles you like being offered (simple, romantic lace, glam etc.)? If they fit your vision then that really helps as it means you will have a great chance at finding your dress. A lot of brides choose a dress that is different to what they had in mind so don’t worry too much, however if you are fixed on a particular style you may want to enquire with the shop first to check they have dresses similar to what you are looking for. This will make dress shopping less disappointing, as you won’t be struggling to find what you are looking for during your appointment!

Budget

If you have a budget for your dress (don’t worry - most people do!) then you may want to double check what the price range of a shop is and make sure you are comfortable with that. There would be nothing worse than falling in love with a dress that you can’t afford. Also check payment terms and come to appointments prepared and ready to purchase your gown in case you do find ‘the one’. The experience

Finding a bridal shop that has lots of great reviews is super important too. If other brides like you have had a great experience and felt comfortable, then chances are you will too! Sizing

Our dresses are all available to buy off-the-peg, whereas traditional bridal shops usually work by trying a sample on in a certain size then having it ordered in your nearest size. This means you could be trying on dresses in sizes bigger or smaller which lots of brides find they struggle to imagine how the dress will look in their size or even fit into many of the samples! We want to do things differently to eliminate the stress of trying on dresses that don’t fit. We have heard so many brides come to us after a bad experience with sizing, so rest assured we offer a great selection of dresses in all sizes so that you can try dresses on in your actual size. It is so important for us to be inclusive with sizing, from a size 6 to a size 28 with a great variety in every size!
